This page shows details on the project. The primary projects are displayed together with a list of sub-projects.
|Project description:||The use of CBM in construction is widespread worldwide, with cement-based materials being the most used man-made materials in the world. Within EU-27, construction accounts for 10% of the GDP, 20 million jobs (30% of the industrial employment), and 3 million enterprises. Furthermore, the European construction sector is a major contributor to exports, reported to be winning more than 50% of the major international contracts. This leading position in the market needs to be maintained COST 061/14 8 EN by a steady pace in innovation in construction, particularly in CBM. There is also a pressing need for innovation in sustainable construction, so as to ensure EU's long term objective of 80-95% reduction of the greenhouse gas emissions.|
