|Project description:||High-temperature superconductor (HTS) tapes have various advantageous properties, which lends them high potential for their practial application in field of improvement of parameters of existing applications; the tapes can be used also for development of new technologies, which would not be feasible without HTS (e.g. magnets for fusion reactor). In order to meet all strict conditions of practical use of the tape HTS, by collaboration of material engineering and electrical engineering, in the project we pursue research activities in four key domains. Firstly, we will investigate correlation between electromag. and structural properties of tapes, as a thorough understanding of the correlation is essential to improve the tape properties. In the next step, we will evaluate the possibility of ion beam technologies for modification of properties of functional HTS layer. Other topic are more effective joints of tapes. Electromag. investigations will be devoted to the mapping of current distribution in paralel HTS|
