|Project description:||Project is focused to the investigation of novel nanostructured adaptive thin films produced by PVD - techniques. These films are capable to fit their structure and behaviour with respect to changing environmental impacts like the temperature, loading etc. Functionality of the coatings, however, depends on the quality of the substrate/ coating interface, also. Therefore, the substrate materials, e.g. tool steel are planned to also be investigated. For the project, method of planned experiment will be used. The investigations will be carried out on newest experimental devices like HRTEM, FESEM, X-ray diffraction, tribotesters and scratch-testers, GDEOS.|
