|Project description:||The effectiveness of any method used to identify hazards in chemical processes such as chemical reactors affects both safety and economics. To achieve maximum safety at minimum cost, a conservative but realistic hazard analysis must be carried out. The aim of the project is to further develop the integrated hazard simulation program, which was developed by our research group during the previous project. The extension of the integrated program is proposed based on a detailed process model, which includes nonlinear dynamics and uncertainty. For prediction of possible accidents and operating problems attention will be focused on assessment of hazardous causes and effects of multiple steady states and possible nonsteady upsets resulting form nonlinear dynamics.|
