|Project description:||The objective of the proposed project is a transformation of inorganic oxide/oxihydroxide gels, as e.g. boehmite (AlOOH) gel is, to compact bulk oxide ceramics. Microstructure and mechanical properties of obtained ceramics will be managed by colloidal processes of materials preparation, inorganic (seeds, diffusion processes modificators) and organic (binders, plastificators) additives, by forming processes and by sintering. Thickening of sols and gels will be carry out by filtration (pressing and isostatic pressing) at room temperature. The use of these procedures tends to restriction of grain growth and thus to maximal preservation of gel nano structure after sintering. It is supposed that properties of prepared ceramics will be on the high-tech construction level.|
