|Project description:||The technology of plasma discharges in electrolyte is an unconventional, still relatively unknown method of surface treatment of metals. It is mostly used to improve the surface's corrosion resistance, to increase its gloss level or to reduce the value of the surface roughness. The actual practices by the utilisation of the technology give us the assumption that the process could be successfully used to remove burrs from poorly accessible edges of machined parts, thanks to its unique properties. There is the real assumption, that this way of de-burring will overcome the limitations of the existing methods. The scope of the project is the fundamental research of the process of plasma discharges in electrolyte focused on the complex study of the properties of this physical process during burr removal. The main goal of the project is to acquire sufficient theoretical and practical knowledge about the process, so afterwards this technological process would be implemented into the production industry.|
