Assessment of water supply distribution systems.Supervisor: prof. Ing. Jozef Kriš, PhD.
This page shows details on the project. The primary projects are displayed together with a list of sub-projects.
|Project description:||Today, almost 85% of the Slovak population is supplied with drinking water from the public water supply. The lack of resources and economic conditions caused that drinking water has become one of the strategic raw materials of the 21st century. Because of that, the water loss has become one of the major problems for providers and owners of water supply facilities. Water losses are among important parameters of technical conditions of the water supply distribution networks, which are used by providers and owners of the water supply distribution networks for assessment of activities, planning of repairs, system re-construction and interventions and they are one of the parameters indicating water supply distribution system management efficiency. To evaluate technical conditions of the distribution network and water losses, there exist a lot of parameters that are not such objective in many cases for given distribution system in our conditions. This substantial fact represents the main focus of the project. The project is focused on assessment of technical condition indicators of distribution network, subsequent optimization for our operational and technical conditions and determination of the new more efficient methods for demonstration of water losses.|
