|Project description:||Surface treatment of materials is becoming an integral part of material research, and one of the most significant purchasers of surface treated materials is the automobile industry which has to have priority in Slovakia. Besides traditional techniques, modern technologies are coming in use, among them also pulse deposition of various types of coatings. The goal of this project is the application of the pulse technique for the preparation of alloy and composite coatings on metallic substrates. Alloy coatings will be formed from aqueous solutions by the way of induced electrochemical co-deposition in cases when the one-metal deposition is impossible. Preparation of alloy coatings containing more then two components is extremely difficult and therefore an alternative possibility for improving the mechanical properties of galvanic coatings is application of composite coatings prepared by means of electrochemical co-deposition of metallic matrix and disperse particles. The conditions of the electrical colouring of anodized aluminium will also be investigated.|
