Tunable Magnetoactivity of Coordination Compounds.

Project description:New coordination compounds will be synthesyzed; these exhibit magnetoactivity in three classes of magnetic materials: magnets based upon molecular units (molecule-based magnets), single-molecule magnets, and spin crossover systems. Magnetoactivity will be studied at the prepared coordination compounds, namely using a contemporary magnetochemical and magnetophysical hardware (SQUD magnetometry, AC-magnetometry-susceptometry, FCM, and ZFCM techniques). Fucussation is to the tuning the magnetoactivity of prepared coordination compounds, namely the mapping the exchange paths in the first class, analysis and understanding of the magnetic anisotropy in the second class, and the microscopic understanding of the solid-state cooperativeness in the third class. The target is to obtain a hysterezis in the above mentioned materials (magnetic or thermal hysteresis) with high-enough temperature of the magnetic ordering.
