|Project description:||The object of this project deals with investigation of the technology and properties of neutron detectors. Neutron detector consists of a semiconductor detector able to register product of interaction of neutron with atoms of the conversion layer, preferably based on semiconductor single crystal compound semi-insulating GaAs or another materials applicable in given application (e.g. SiC, InP, B,...). The conversion layer - converter - for detectors of fast neutrons is formed by a material with high density of hydrogen atoms (e.g. High Density PolyEthylence).|
