|Project description:||Formation and modeling of reaction-separation systems with membranes for simultaneous chemical or biochemical reactions and separations and/or several separation processes. Such systems can be employed in biotechnologies, wastewater treatment and trace analysis of xenobiotics and pollutants. The research will be devoted to a better understanding of fundamentals of individual processes of these complex systems. A better understanding of a new generation of solvents and liquid membranes based on ionic liquids used for separation and biochemical transformations. Application of these and/or classical solvents in pertraction and membrane based extraction, and modeling of these processes. The aim will be creation of new reaction-separation hybrid systems and development of new analytical methods. Study of MF through ceramic and polymeric membranes aimed at modeling of mass transfer and interactions of solutes with the membrane. Interactions will be studied mainly on model two-component suspensions.|
