|Project description:||The use of airlift reactors in biotechnology becomes more and more extensive. In spite of this fact, most papers published in the literature deals with use of ALR only with model media like air ? water. The aim of this project is study of hydrodynamics and mass transfer of oxygen in real fermentation air lift bioreactors. With help of the mathematical model of the reactor and experiments in laboratory ALR with working volumes 10, 40 and 200 liters, the study of real fermentation broth influence on ALR hydrodynamics and scale up will be done.|
