Project description:This is the first coordinated project on this topic in this country based on an interdisciplinary approach of chemical biochemical, biological, microelectrotechnical and clinical working places at the development and use of new biomaterials, biocompatible inorganic materials as well as biosensors in clinical practice. Integrated approach is based on an association of non-clinical working places within the Center of Biomedical Engineering of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava in a close cooperation with clinical centers. It ensures a high added value of the final project solution. Within the project, a composition and microstructure of new polymer and inorganic composite biomaterials will be prepared and tested for the biocompatibility. Biosensors based na deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and lipoproteins (LDL) will be developed as modern analytical devices for in vitro evaluation of chemical association interaction and damage of biopolymers by potential risk species.
