|Project description:||The key to the effective use of information is the design of a suitable model of their exploitation defining all activities, also covering the creation of predictive models as a source of informed decisions at the management or process level. Choosing the right data mining method is currently a problem because there is not a comprehensive concept describing the causal relationship (if any) between the problem structure and the properties of the method. Up to now, the cases outlined in the literature are so- called Ad-hoc solutions. Therefore, the presented research project would like to examine the existence of causality between the characteristics of the data sets and the usability of the available methods, to formalize the acquired knowledge and thus to create the preconditions for their digitization. The proposed solution will be experimentally verified in the field of logistics. By using the results of the research, it will be possible to achieve a competitive advantage for businesses that use them.|
