|Project description:||The recent anthropogenic changes in Slovak river basins, natural climate variability, as well as expected climate change, introduce a set of important new problems into the stream water regime topic. The goal of the project is to assess the sensitivity of particular regions of Slovakia to these expected changes from the point of view of the surface water regime. The regions with low, middle and high sensitivity to these changes will be identified in Slovakia. Statistical methods, mathematical modelling and regionalization methods will be used for evaluation of individual basins. The low flows as well as peak flows of uninfluenced rivers will be assessed in annual and monthly step in series as long as possible (minimum 1961-2006). Natural variability of the series will be compared with expected changes due to anthropogenic influence, particularly due to climate change.|
