Project description:The practical experience shows that the problem of the material degradation during exploatation, and as consequence, the failures of the parts are very actually. Many parts and constructions are usually loaded dynamically at different temperature conditions and at action of different environments. The loadings on the parts during exploitation cause their damage and failure. Taking into account that, it is obligatory to test properties of materials in laboratories and then to submit the information, gained in such way, to manufacturers and customers of the parts and equipment. The research project deals with the study of degradation processes and failure of parts depending on microstructural and technological properties for selective methods of the heat treatment. The study will be carried out using different heat-treated specimens to be tested in laboratory conditions at various mechanical loads (used mechanical loads will be statical, dynamical). Experimental specimens will be analysed in terms of fractography and morphological changes in microstructure. The development of new material?s models, and application of non-linear structural elements for selective tests of materials will be also introduced in the project. The degradation of materials will be study by fractography of fractured surfaces of the experimental specimens, and on the basis of morphological changes of their structures. During fracturing and in the limiting condition changing of both the morphological characteristics and working properties of materials takes place. In the future the received information can be used for solving expert?s cases and for analyses of actual damaged parts.
