Project description:Nowadays, we are witness the succesful breaks of many cryptographic algorithms for keys close to used length in practice. It implies the necessity to intensify the research in this area and to search for new approaches and techniques that would replace the old ones. This applies to all cryptographic primitives, starting with the key-exchange, next the encryption algorithm itself, and ending with the analysis of possible attacks. Our main goal in the field of assymetric cryptography is to examine the properties of DL problem solution for XTR-group in more detail, and to validate our new approach to factor RSA moduli. In the field of stream ciphers we would like to focus on finding a new attack on the prominent cipher EDON80. In both of these research areas our aim is to find a suitable theoretical and practical solution respectively. This will lead to corrections in settings of these cryptographic primitives not only for security requiremets, but also for transmission rates for real applications.
