|Project description:||Civil infrastructure has scarily benefited from the latest development in the field of 3D simulation and higher order probalistic methods. The project will seek ways and methods to improve the reliability of concrete constructions focused on civil infrastructure. From the aspect of working life also the impact of the time factor on required strengthening, and influence of the surrounding environment on the properties of concrete and reinforcement should be considered. The structures will be analyzed with respect of new results of destruction mechanics, nonlinear computer simulation and appropriate application of probabilistic methods. Within the framework of the project tests will be provided for verification of new materials and technologies to restore reliability of concrete structures. The conclusions will be used to enhance the safety, serviceability and durability of concrete structures and as a theoretical basis into how make structures more resistant to actions that could cause progressive collapse.|
