|Project description:||The project is focused to the study of conditions of preparation and structure of the new types of composite fibres based on polypropylene and fibrous nanofillers such as carbon nanofibres and carbon nanotubes. The aim of the project is a development of polypropylene composite fibres with higher elastic modulus (increase 30 -- 50 %), fibres with higher tensile strength, fibres with electrical conductivity higher than 10-2 S.cm-1, with higher UV barrier properties, higher thermal and light stability. These properties will be achieved by additivation of PP fibres with carbon nanotubes, or carbon nanofibres. Besides these nanofillers other oligomer and polymer additives like compatibilizers based on PP grafted with maleineanhydride and oxazoline derivatives and also surfactants based on derivatives of polysiloxane and polyglycols will be used. Originality of this project consists in preparation of the PP composite fibres with higher amount of carbon fibrous nanofillers, till now non-prepared.|
