|Project description:||Focussation of the research is aimed to the magneto-structural correlations in the inorganic materials based on the transition metal complexes. There are three main subjects to be investigated within the project: 1. An advanced chemical synthesis of new organic ligands on the basis of N-donor heterocycles and their coordination compounds using Mn(II), Fe(II), Fe(III), Co(II), and Ni(II) as central atoms linked to polynuclear complexes and clusters in order to obtain molecular and supramolecular units exhibiting an aimed magneto-activity, such as a temperature induced spin transition, magnetic ordering (preferentially of the ferromagnetic nature) and a maintaining of the high-spin state of molecules. 2. A detailed study of the magnetoactivity incorporate measurements of the temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility, field and temperature dependence of the magnetization. 3. A theoretical analysis of the experimental data will stimulate new microscopic theory of the spin crossover.|
