|Project description:||Sustainable Development encourages the preservation of natural resources. Waste represents an enormous loss of resources in the form of both materials and energy. The project WASTRE is aimed to the reduction of these losses supporting the implementation of the most advanced technologies and equipment for waste treatment, disposal and recycling. It will be done by implementation of the new innovative approach to education and training of the target group including entrepreneurs and employees in various branches of industry, agriculture and public authorities , SME managers, VET students and the unemployed with the intention to improve their possibilities on the labour market in this field. This education and training should include knowledge of both engineering and information technology and waste management, and control , together with the ability to adopt appropriate technologies and business solutions. Knowledge and skills are becoming outdated much quicker and must be replaced continuously. The deployment of Internet and Intranet infrastructures within organizations provides an unprecedented opportunity to enhance on-going training activities by incorporating multiple forms of media especially e-learning. Within the project WASTRE will be created the "the Centre for Consulting in the field of waste management and waste treatment" for professionals in any waste producing or waste treating company as well as the on-line learning system focused on waste management and waste treatment The learning materials for this on-line system will be prepared in the form of a CD-ROM multimedia textbook with animations, hyperlinks, graphics etc. E-learning methods, ICT devices, LMS system and virtual study space will be used as educational methods and devices. The online learning system enhances the knowledge, skills and competencies of waste management and waste treatment The on-line learning system creates a virtual and interactive environment for learning, comprising innovative training modules, contents and tools The modules are being prepared in cooperation with the partners who are actively involved in the area of education in waste management and waste treatment. Manual for teachers and manual for student will be prepared to instruct the teachers and students about elearning system Moodle and its using for distance learning. The modules content is flexible enough to allow it to be shaped to meet the needs of each target group.|
