Project description:One of the key objectives of EU Danube strategy is the redeployment of the transit from roads to waterways . The product part of the objective is to optimize the operation of objects on fairway i.e. ship locks (SL) by way of keeping the maximum transit capacity and fairway safeness retention and constructive and technology parts of SL as well. The experiences taken from Gabčíkovo water structure operating, has shown the problems coupled with impropriate using of hydraulic systems and consecutive with improper process of filling and emptying. The consequences are: a) High velocities of water flow in hydraulic system and losses transformed to extreme load which affects the construction -- loads are acting destructively on construction and technology parts of object. b) Circumscriptions of crossing vessels safeness.
