The project is oriented on the development of the physically based and conceptual schemes of processes parametrization in hydrological models for the simulation of an extreme runoff from a precipitation and snowmelt in a small basins in our physical-geographical conditions. The parametrization schemes for the model modules, which simulate the individual phases and sub-processes of the erosion and rainfall-runoff process, taking into account the land use and management of land, as well as the use of natural and artificial accumulation areas for capturing an extreme runoff, will be developed. Based on the testing and validation of developed schemes using the data from experimental small basins the methods of land use and land management will be assessed, and the science-based measures for reducing the extreme runoff and erosion processes in small watersheds will be designed, including the model verification.
