|Project description:||The classical town has been developing since the earliest beginnings of settlement structuresduring the history of urban evolution. It has gradually been setting up th eprinciples of its tectonic and spatial links. The classical town stabilized its bearing structure above all in the system of streets, blocks and squares, The classical town concentrates on the human scale, on the realtionships and spatial needs of the urban community. Strengthening the quality attributes of the urban system means strengthening the principles of the classical town as well as the variety of its modelling applied to individual sites. The stormy/ turbulent development of the European towns since the beginning of the 20th century, putting in doubt the actual urban principles, the disintegration of the steady urban structure and the subsequent search confirm the necessity of stabilizing the foundations of towns. ?A curing treatment? of the town against loosening, against the domination of high-rise buildings, against the ambiguity of spaces, against the loss of identity can only take place if the concept changes and a hierarchy of the urban structure values is offered. The quality of the urban structure has to stand on the firm basis of the town pattern verified by evolution ? then it can face modern stresses and regulate the influences of the ?city-..............?. Subsequently the completion of the urban interiors with colour, light, music and design can follow.|
