Project description:The project was focused on the study of nuclear reactors model alloys by positron annihilation spectroscopy (PAS). The investigation of all 33 specimens, delivered from JRC Petten and measured in non-irradiated as received stage using PAS Lifetime technique) was necessary for creating of the base for investigation and possible comparison of the same but irradiated specimens. Some of them were implanted to two different levels by hydrogen ions and studied ?as irradiated? now. It seems, that the hydrogen ion implantation instead of neutron irradiation is one of the way for the future for observation of changes in near surface region. Beside similarities between hydrogen ion and neutron treatment, there exist some differences in ion and neutron bombardment. The comparison of this treatment with neutron irradiation in the future would be very valuable.
