|Determination of geopotential heights in mountain areas|
This Bachelor thesis aims on the determination of geopotential heights in a mountain areas and its later use in determination of the physical heights. Geopotential heights are nowadays used as a modern way for determining physical heights of which a Molodensky’s normal heights form a national height system. Method of the geopotential heights is based on the results of precise levelling, gravimetric measurements and measuring with use of GNSS, which are part of a practical experiment. Results of the experiment show that leveling without including Earth’s gravity impact aren’t appropriate when determining physical heights. Method of GNSS leveling also proved itself as not reliable due to incorrectly determined quasigeoid in area of Veľká Fatra.
