Title of the thesis:Evaluation of the impact of halogen derivatives on the working environment of employees in chemical production
Summary:The diploma thesis offers evaluated concentration measures of the most polluting halogen derivatives in the working environment of the chemical industry. The first part of the thesis contains characteristics of the factors influencing working environment and their importance for feelings and health of an employee. The next part presents the summary of theoretical knowledge on occurrence, production and usage of selected halogen derivatives, as well as legislative limits for these contaminants in the individual parts of the working and living environment and the methods of their determination. The results of the measurements carried out between 2013 and 2015 show that the exposition limit of the observed contaminants was only crossed in the production activity (vinyl chloride). As for the prevention, we suggest yearly measurement of the employees´ exposition, regular ventilation of rooms and thorough use of PPE.
Key words:halogenated hydrocarbons, work place, chemical factors
