Trnava: MTF STU, 2016, 60 p, Keywords: electronic waste, precious metals, physical and mechanical processes, pyrometallurgy, hydrometallurgy, separation The aim of this graduation theses is to consider the opportunities and ways of extraction of raw materials (especially precious metals) of electrical waste in acceptable environmental load. Theme of this thesis is techniques of acquiring precious metals from electronic waste. The theoretical part is divided into two chapters, where characteristics of electrical waste, its features, and content of precious metals, legislative forms and processing methods are generally described. The theoretical part follows the experimental part which forms the third chapter. This chapter describes the input parameters of the sample, process and experimental results of electrolytic refining and leaching of separated gilt pins. We have found out that with electrolytic refining and leaching in HNO3 it is possible to acquire copper and gold as selling products of electrical waste.
