Title of the thesis:Electrochemical Production of Hydrogen
Summary:Water electrolysis represents a promising way of efficient and flexible energy conversion form renewable sources. Within the framework of this study several alternative method of hydrogen production were disscused. Hydrogen prepared by electrolysis can be add to natural gas as a source of thermal energy. Practical example of this addition is calculated to show the benefit of hydrogen addition to natural gas in electricity production. Traditional fossil fuel sources used for electricity production are in recent forty years being replaced by alternative energy sources like solar, wind and hydro energy. This fact rapidly increase interest in energy storage and conversion technology development. That is the main reason for the rapid development of fuel cell systems.
Key words:renewable sources, fuel cell, hydrogen, electrolysis
