Title of the thesis:Web Application Development
Summary:Millions of people around the world daily work with web applications. The times of classical isolated desktop applications and simple informative websites slowly goes away. Modern applications combine both approaches -- the richness of desktop and internet access services. We see around more often with the term RIA at present. The aim of this work is to overview the most important technologies and approaches used in the development of RIA applications. The first part describes the development of web applications, and strictly defined and delimited area covered by RIA applications. The following section briefly characterize frameworks for Rich Internet Application development, represented by various programming languages and technologies. These are AJAX, JavaFX, Microsoft Silverlight, OpenLaszlo and Adobe Flex. The third section is devoted to detailed analysis of the Adobe Flex framework. With this technology, I created my application as a demonstration of the presented technique. The comparison is accompanied by an analysis of advantages and disadvantages in using these frameworks together with a recommendation for the selection of a suitable framework for the development of a specific type of RIA applications.
